About the role

The LQA Manager at PTW’s Portugal studios oversees all Localization QA projects, ensuring they exceed client expectations by closely collaborating with global peers. This role involves managing and nurturing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, fostering their professional growth. The LQA Manager is responsible for creating and implementing standardized processes based on industry and company best practices while continually reviewing and assessing project delivery for ongoing improvement. Additionally, the position requires managing staff utilization to ensure profitability and acting as a champion for maintaining high linguistic quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all Localization QA projects delivered by PTW’s Portugal studios, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and LQA Game Testers, fostering professional growth and development.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the global organization to align on goals, exceed client expectations, and drive project success.
• Establish and implement standardized processes based on industry best practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all operations.
• Continuously evaluate project delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance team performance.
• Manage staff allocation, workload distribution, and resource utilization to optimize team productivity and maintain profitability.
• Act as an advocate for linguistic quality, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an outsourcing environment such as customer support, gaming studios, localization, or related industries.
• Extensive experience in leading and managing teams, with a strong track record of people development and team leadership.
• Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive results.
• Strong analytical abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions and strategic assessments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Outstanding team collaboration and influencing skills, fostering a cooperative and results-oriented work environment.
• Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
• Must possess the legal right to work in Portugal.

Working Condition:

• On-Site in our Studio in Braga, Portugal
• 8:00 to 17:00, Mondays through Fridays
