Job Description

Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Drive Unit area. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and fault elimination on automated production lines, maintaining documentation of all maintenance work, damage reporting, and troubleshooting converter and robot technology. The role requires executing repairs, maintenance, servicing, and conversions according to specifications, participating in preventive maintenance, and optimizing production efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in mechatronics or a comparable qualification, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to work shifts. Experience in maintaining production plants and knowledge of control engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or robotics are essential. Good English is required, and German is desirable.

Troubleshooting complex automated plants
Maintenance documentation & damage reporting
Converter & robot technology expertise
Repair, maintenance, & conversion work
Preventive maintenance participation
Mechatronics training or equivalent

Maintenance Technician for Automated Production Systems Drive Unit (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

We are seeking a Maintenance Technicians for our Drive Unit area who will play a crucial role in the development of our electric motors by utilizing their expertise to optimize, question, and eliminate processes, while continuously improving production efficiency and quality in a challenging and stimulating environment.

What You’ll Do

You need to have expertise in troubleshooting and fault elimination on complex and fully automated production plants

You need to maintain documentation of all maintenance, conversion, and servicing work, as well as damage reporting and troubleshooting

You need to have knowledge and experience in troubleshooting in the area of converter technology and robot technology

You need to execute repair, maintenance, servicing, and conversion work on all production machines in accordance with specifications in a timely and professional manner

You need to participate in the execution of preventive maintenance work

What You’ll Bring

Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
Flexibility, communication and team skills, performance and readiness for action
Willingness to work in shifts in a fully continuous shift model
Good knowledge of control engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics and / or robotics
Good technical understanding and good practical manual skills
Work experience in the field of maintenance of production plants
Good English language skills required and German language skills desirable
