POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Engineering to lead an engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, team leadership, and project management. This role involves guiding and growing engineering teams, delivering complex software systems, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Planning & Execution:
  Collaborate with technical, product, and UX leads to plan projects, clarify requirements, and execute development plans to meet contractual timelines.
• Technical Leadership:
  Drive productive technical design sessions and discussions, ensuring the right people are involved, and that decisions are well documented.
• Team Management:
  Manage the growth and development of team members through mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Quality Assurance:
  Champion engineering best practices during the course of customer implementations and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  Work with implementation project managers to provide updates on progress and risks toward achieving milestones.
• Cultural Advocacy:
  Live and promote our team values of ownership, innovation, cooperation, and empathy for our customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience:
• 8 to 10 years of experience in software development.
• 2–4 years in a managerial role leading and growing engineering teams while delivering complex software systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in planning, building, testing, and maintaining complex software applications.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following languages/frameworks: JAVA, React, Golang etc.
• Experience with databases such as RDBMS.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong ownership mentality and stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication with cross-functional leaders to drive collaborative problem-solving and decision-making.
• Additional Skills:
• Experience in onboarding, mentoring, and coaching new team members.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile product development environment.
