The Manager, User Acquisition will lead efforts in scaling the user base and revenue for Pocket Worlds' Highrise platform. This crucial role involves developing and executing strategies for both organic and inorganic growth, working closely with the executive team. Responsibilities include managing paid acquisition channels, identifying and activating underutilized channels (Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter), applying performance marketing expertise in gaming, aligning growth strategies with company goals, presenting reports on growth metrics, and driving innovation through A/B testing. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative analysis and creative skills, along with 3+ years of experience in growth marketing or related fields.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Manager, User Acquisition to lead our efforts in scaling our user base and revenue. This role is integral to our team and is positioned with the potential to evolve into an executive-level position, possibly Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), as you demonstrate your impact and strategic vision.

As the Manager, User Acquisition, you will work closely with our executive team, including our CEO, to develop and execute strategies that drive both inorganic and organic growth. You will be at the forefront of growth marketing in gaming, a field that demands a blend of rigorous quantitative analysis and innovative creative thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our user acquisition efforts across paid channels, developing and optimizing campaigns that scale efficiently, ensuring measurable and repeatable success.

  • Identify and activate underutilized channels like Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter, developing strategies to turn these into effective growth drivers.

  • Apply your deep understanding of performance marketing in gaming to create competitive advantages, comparable to hedge fund trading where small, data-driven advantages are crucial.

  • Align growth marketing strategies with overall company goals, preparing and presenting reports on growth metrics and campaign effectiveness to the executive team.

  • Drive innovation and growth through constant experiments, A/B testing across multiple platforms with a balanced approach between art and science.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in both quantitative analysis for metrics like LTV and creative skills for developing impactful ad campaigns.

  • 3+ years of experience in Growth Marketing, Performance Marketing, User Acquisition, or other relevant fields related to Data and Data Science. 

  • You are Data-savvy with deep knowledge of marketing technologies and performance metrics.

  • Ideally hold an MBA from a Top-Tier program, with an undergrad degree from a prestigious university.

Bonuses:

  • Experience in growth marketing within the gaming industry, with success in marketing lesser-known games being a significant advantage over well-known IPs.

  • You have worked in fintech, gaming, or consumer social startups.

  • You have experience with Data Driven Marketing Experience and/or have a background in competitive fields like banking, consulting, or hedge funds, where quantitative rigor and strategic insight are paramount.

  • You’re highly energetic and feel comfortable leading and pushing your team to succeed.

  • You have experience taking ownership of marketing channels with significant ($million+) spend.

  • Creative problem solver, ready to tackle complex challenges.
