This internship offers a chance to contribute to Intel's cutting-edge manufacturing processes. You'll gain hands-on experience in designing and optimizing factory layouts, tailoring machinery for production, and innovating procedures to enhance efficiency. Your contributions will span various engineering areas, including Operations, Module Engineering, Process Integration, and more. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a STEM degree and seeking to develop their problem-solving, teamwork, and technical expertise in a high-tech environment.
Must have:
  • Master's degree OR PhD in STEM field
  • 3+ months of educational or industry experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices
Good to have:
  • Experience with semiconductor equipment and fabrication processes
  • Skills in statistics and data analytics
  • Knowledge of failure analysis and manufacturing process control
  • Understanding of semiconductor device physics and manufacturing process improvement
  • Experience with manufacturing quality assurance and environmental health and safety

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience

Education: Candidate must be enrolled/pursuing a Master's degree OR PhD in Chemical Engineering,  Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related STEM field with 3+ months of educational or industry experience.

Additional Information:

This application is for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 internships.  You must be available to start work during this time frame.

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.
