This is a 6-month full-time internship in Material Planning at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. The intern will support the indirect material planning team responsible for supplying spare parts and production consumables. Responsibilities include optimizing work instructions, creating and refining documents, identifying process deviations, contacting suppliers and stakeholders, driving improvement and cost reduction projects, maintaining data accuracy in the ERP system, acting as an interface between planners and handlers, and assisting with quotes, reporting, sourcing, returns, and other operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be studying or have experience in a related field and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. German and English language proficiency is required.

Must have:

Supply chain/related field background
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Data accuracy maintenance
Good communication (German & English)
Problem-solving and analytical skills

Good to have:

Database experience
Relevant internship experience
Cost reduction project experience

Internship assignment:

The indirect material planning team is responsible for the continuous supply of all spare parts and production consumables for Gigafactory Berlin.

We are looking for a motivated intern who will drive improvement projects within the material planning team and who will assist the material planners in the day-to-day work.

What You’ll Do

Optimizing the structure of work instructions for the Material Planning department by creating new documents, refining existing ones, and ensuring alignment among all Material Planners. Additionally, the role involves identifying and highlighting process deviations
Direct contact with suppliers, stakeholders and management from day one
Drive improvement and cost reduction projects within the material planning team
Regular checks to maintain data accuracy within the ERP system
Act as interface between the material planners and the material handlers
Assist material planners with quotes, reporting, sourcing, returns, lost parts, ERP updates and several challenging operative tasks

What You’ll Bring

Preferably studying or experienced in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Economics or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Database experience is advantageous
Capable of working in a fast paced and always changing environment
Proactive teamplayer and work mentality, analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude
Good Level in German and English (C1 Level)
Relevant internship experience (supply chain) is a plus
