ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Motion Designer to join our global moving image / creative solutions team, working across our lines of business to deliver digital and motion-based solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to help us shape the growth of our film and motion capabilities. Scope exists for you to develop your career within this role, so an appetite to learn through both internal training and self-initiative is essential.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of design principles, moving image processes, and storytelling.
• Collaborating closely with our creative, sales and wider Jacobs team to produce a variety of motion content, including explainer videos, showreels, prototyping, animated presentations, marketing campaigns, brand design, public consultation films, social media content and internal communications
• Ability to flex between animation, video editing and 3D.
• Development and preparation of style frames, storyboards, proposals, and motion tests.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate creative concepts.
• Converting complex briefs into engaging moving image.
• Adding value by offering innovative creative solutions that provide us with a competitive edge in the marketplace.
• Keep up to date with the latest visual trends and developments in motion, design and visual effects.
• Be a source of inspiration for the wider creative team, including knowledge sharing and potentially mentoring other members of our creative community
