Motion Graphics Design Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Creative Leadership: Take charge of the creative direction for projects with minimal oversight, ensuring the highest-quality output.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with a small, talented team of designers to conceptualize and bring visual designs to life that align with project goals.
• Project Execution: Review teaser cuts, features, or series to identify the tone, visual style, and design direction for the project.
• Design & Animation: Create 2D and 3D designs, including logo animations and copy cards, ensuring seamless timing for theatrical presentations.
• Presentation: Prepare and present internal design concepts for feedback and approval (client-facing presentations are not required).
• Workflow Adaptation: Manage high-volume workflows, balancing the unique demands of both theatrical and streaming platforms.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Experience: Expertise in theatrical and streaming design workflows with a deep understanding of industry pace and deliverables.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools such as AfterEffects and Cinema4D.
• Conceptual & Aesthetic Skills: Strong ability to conceptualize and adapt to various design tones, particularly non-comedic, high-end visuals.
• Animation Skills: Experience animating logos and creating short graphic pieces (not full 30-second animations).
• Branding & Storytelling: Familiarity with timing, branding, and storytelling tailored to theatrical and streaming audiences.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and teams independently, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
• Adaptability: Comfort with working under tight deadlines and managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
