Job Description

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is seeking for talented Online Programmer with experience and expertise in the server programming. The main responsibility of the programmer would be to make various modules for online games. The programmer should be capable enough for creating various technical solutions as per the design requirements, additionally should have understanding of various web protocols.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in the creation of new online services related to a game or game service
  • Develop, integrate and maintain global online platform services such as Matchmaking, Leaderboards, etc.
  • Participate in determining systems’ behavior under normal or simulated peak load conditions to optimize performance
  • Network optimizations: minimize bandwidth usage, decrease latency, etc.
  • Implement replication strategies and leverage existing replication systems
  • Support existing functionalities and systems
  • Track down and correct the bugs identified by quality control or members of the production team

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Knowledge of network optimization and latency reduction techniques
  • Comfortable in creating RESTful web services
  • Understanding of client-server architecture
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong skills in server-side resource profiling, optimization and debugging
  • Have excellent programming skills and solid experience programming C#
  • Have strong understanding of .Net core
  • Knowledge of AWS, K8S, Redis, MongoDB
  • Skills in optimizing code for performance and memory usage.
  • Experience with profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • A passion for creating and playing games
  • Not afraid to learn new technology and rapidly apply it in your daily work
  • Understanding of scalability issues and replication concepts
  • Proven experience in developing real-time multiplayer games.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix complex issues in a live game environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of programming experience with significant involvement in online services and real-time gameplay.
  • Experience with Socket programming and optimization and lag management for online games.
  • Degree in technology or any other training or equivalent
