Job Description

As a Paid Media Specialist at PlaySide Studios, you'll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing multi-channel paid media campaigns across various platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to drive player growth. You'll manage global media budgets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze key performance metrics (ROAS, CPI, CTR, LTV), conduct A/B testing, and explore new advertising channels. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with various ad platforms, and a deep understanding of gaming audiences and marketing strategies. You will also be responsible for providing creative briefs, analyzing asset performance, and recommending content strategies based on data insights.
Must have:
  • 3-4 years paid media experience
  • Multi-platform campaign execution & optimization
  • Strong analytical & reporting skills
  • Proficiency in major ad platforms (Facebook, Google, TikTok etc.)
  • Budget management & A/B testing experience
  • Understanding of gaming audiences & marketing

Position Overview:

Ready to level up your career in gaming? We’re looking for a Paid Media Specialist to drive high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that fuel player growth across PC, Console, Mobile, and VR. In this role, you’ll plan, execute, and optimize digital media strategies while testing new advertising channels to stay ahead of the game.

Reporting to the User Acquisition and Growth Manager, you’ll work closely with creative, product marketing, and data teams to craft engaging campaigns, maximize budgets, and scale performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-channel paid media campaigns across digital and social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Plan and manage global media budgets, ensuring optimal allocation across regions and platforms.
  • Collaborate with brand, product marketing, and creative teams to align campaign strategies and ensure best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (ROAS, CPI, CTR, LTV) to optimize targeting, bidding, and creative execution.
  • Conduct A/B testing on creatives, audience segments, and bidding strategies to improve campaign efficiency.
  • Identify and explore new advertising channels, programmatic opportunities, and audience expansion strategies.
  • Manage agency and partner relationships to enhance campaign performance and explore ATL opportunities.
  • Provide creative briefs, analyze asset performance, and recommend content strategies based on data insights.
  • Work with analytics teams to develop reporting solutions and track campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to refine paid media strategy.

What You Bring To The Role

  • 3-4 + years of experience in paid media buying, performance marketing, or user acquisition
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and optimise paid campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign reporting, performance measurement, and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads, Reddit Ads, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with budget management, audience segmentation, and A/B testing.
  • Ability to interpret and act on data insights to drive continuous improvements in campaign performance.
  • Strong understanding of gaming audiences, player behaviours, and platform-specific marketing strategies.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with new and emerging ad platforms (e.g., Discord ads, Snapchat, CTV, or influencer marketing).
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Looker, Data Studio, or other business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising or alternative UA strategies.
  • Basic knowledge of creative production processes for paid social content.
  • Experience working on media campaigns for games and entertainment brands
