Payroll Specialist - EMEA Region

As a Payroll Specialist you will play a key role in handling, reviewing, and managing the Payroll for EMEA countries in Milestone. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure a high quality of alignment and compliance of the payroll in all the countries in EMEA.

You will be a part of People Operations and be responsible for the payroll process and ensure we are not only doing what is legally required, but also doing what is right for the company as we grow. You will partner closely with the current Payroll Specialist to back up each other during vacation, training, and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• End to End Payroll process for the EMEA countries
• First point of contact towards the payroll providers in the EMEA countries
• Support for Payroll process in Denmark. 
• Reconciliation of all salaries in DK and EMEA 
• Administration of Global Holiday policies and rules and updating the master data system
• Reconcile Vacation in DK and EMEA
• Update Pension to pension portal in EMEA
• Year-end closing and audit in DK and EMEA 
• Assisting of Commission payments and plans in DK and EMEA
• Assisting with Vacation, Tax and Work-related questions and rules in DK and EMEA

Your Profile
An ideal candidate for this role is flexible, can work autonomously, and can switch rapidly from in-the-moment collaboration to focused solo-work.

• Professional Payroll experience. 
• Experience working with external payroll vendors.
• Experience with Payroll in a global setting.
• Fluency in English (both oral and written).

Please note that the position is on-site at our headquarters in Brøndby, Denmark or Sofia, Bulgaria, and requires that you have a valid work visa in one of the locations.

The Team
The People Operations Team act as our first point of contact for the organization and our daily deliverables to internal customers that cover all administrative processes including payroll and on- and offboarding of employees. The People Operations team is part of the People & Culture department located in our headquarters in Brøndby, Greater Copenhagen.
