Job Description
As the Product Lead for Live, you will be responsible for the Acquisition, Engagement, Retention, and Monetization strategy of the Live service. You will manage a team of Product Managers and lead Marketing, Community, and Analytics for the project. Your primary focus will be prioritizing the development roadmap, ensuring all releases meet targets and providing regular Live performance updates to the game leadership. You will also be a key stakeholder of the Development team on new Live game features and represent Live towards the publisher. The role requires strategic product leadership with a deep understanding of gamers and market trends, experience overseeing the entire lifecycle of a Live service, and the ability to bridge creative vision with business objectives. The role also includes defining and driving product strategy, optimizing player value, and leading collaboration with various teams.

- Identify opportunities through live data, community playtests, market research and player insights.

Contraband, our upcoming AAA co-op open world action game and new IP published by Microsoft Xbox Game Studios, is now looking for a Product Lead to join the team!
The Position
As the Product Lead for Live, you are responsible for the Acquisition, Engagement, Retention and Monetization strategy of our Live service. You will own the product vision for Live, optimize player value for our Live KPIs, manage a small team of Product Managers, and lead Marketing, Community and Analytics for the project.
You will also be a key stakeholder of the Development team on new Live game features, content, and platform capabilities, and represent Live towards our publisher. Your primary focus will be on prioritizing the development roadmap and ensuring all releases meet our targets.
What you'll do
- Define and drive the product strategy for the Live service.
- Optimize player value to improve Acquisition, Engagement, Retention and Monetization KPIs.
- Identifying opportunities through live data, community playtests, market research and player insights
- Define and realise a high-fidelity Live plan for the next 6 months. Manage the Live features backlog
- Hire, manage and mentor a team of Product Managers.
- Lead collaboration with the Marketing and Community teams; serve as the main client for Data Science.
- Act as a major stakeholder of the Development team to help define new Live game features, content, and platform capabilities.
- Provide regular Live performance updates to the game leadership.
- Represent the Live service in communications with Microsoft.
Who you are
- A strategic product leader with a deep understanding of gamers’ desires and preferences, and a keen eye for market trends.
- Experienced in overseeing the entire lifecycle of a Live service, from conception to release and live operation, with a focus on continuous updates, expansions, and events.
- Ideally on 1 Live AAA title or more, with a large publisher.
- Adept at bridging creative vision with business objectives to deliver unrivaled player experiences while meeting financial goals.
- Skilled in navigating the evolving landscape of gaming platforms, player communities, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to lead a team and to collaborate effectively with Development, Marketing, Community, and Analytics.
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making, utilizing analytics, player insights, and market research.
- Knowledgeable about personalization and player-centric approaches to deliver tailored gameplay and customized content.
