Job Description

The Program Manager, Privacy, Safety, and Security at Google leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the Privacy, Safety and Security (PSS) Strategic Engagements and Enablement team. This role involves managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities include designing and delivering program communication plans, partnering with stakeholders to develop data-driven messaging strategies, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and staying up-to-date on industry trends. The goal is to increase adoption and drive user trust in Google's safety measures through external engagement strategies, including content development, events, campaigns, and partnerships.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years program/project management experience
5+ years stakeholder management experience
Excellent communication & executive management skills
Design & deliver program communication plans
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders

Good to have:

Experience in customer-facing engagements
Experience leading & implementing strategic programs
Knowledge of security, privacy, trust, and safety domains

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or project management.
5 years of experience with stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in customer- or client-facing engagements.
Experience leading and implementing strategic programs.
Knowledge of security, privacy, trust, and safety domains.
Excellent executive and stakeholder management skills.

The Privacy, Safety and Security (PSS) Strategic Engagements and Enablement team within the Strategy and Operations organization drives multi-year strategic programs to make PSS more innovative and cohesive. As a Global Engagements Program Manager, you will play a critical role in bringing external engagement strategy to life, including narrative and content development, channels distribution, events and campaigns, and partnerships and ecosystems. You will partner across business units, functions, and teams to drive a proactive external engagement strategy and tell Google’s safety story to key opinion formers (KOFs), end users, and partners to increase adoption and drive user trust.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver program communication plans including executive and key partner communications, and monitor and measure the effectiveness of program initiatives and adapt strategies as needed.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, senior leaders, and executive sponsors to develop and implement data-driven messaging and content distribution strategies to increase adoption and drive user trust sentiment.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and with senior cross-functional and engineering leadership.
Interact with a variety of people, job functions, and levels.
Stay up-to-date on the latest privacy, safety, and security technologies and industry trends to help drive strategy development and program management.
