Job Description

Lead talented teams in the development of high-quality video games from concept to completion. As a Development Manager, you will collaborate with artists, designers, programmers, and production staff to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, assigning tasks, leading interdisciplinary teams, coordinating cross-discipline collaboration, maintaining stakeholder communication, and monitoring project progress to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of game development, particularly console game development.

Must have:

2+ years in game production/leadership
Shipped at least one console game
Project management expertise
Lead and support interdisciplinary teams
Manage game development projects

Development Manager Requirements

At least 2 years in a production or leadership role within the gaming industry.
Experience with at least one shipped game, ideally on a console.
A solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies.

Your daily tasks will include:

Manage game development projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
Develop and maintain project schedules based on team estimates.
Create, prioritize, assign, and oversee tasks to achieve game deliverables.
Lead and support interdisciplinary teams of artists, designers, and programmers to ensure high-quality work.
Coordinate cross-discipline collaboration to drive successful project outcomes.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and requirements.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee game milestones and deliverables, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.
