As a Project Manager at Google Cloud Professional Services, you will partner with Strategy and Operations and Professional Services leadership to create best practices for staffing and utilization management. Responsibilities include leading weekly staffing meetings, ensuring accurate supply and demand forecasts, matching consultants with projects based on skillset and availability, managing consultant utilization and well-being, developing KPIs for staffing efficiency, and building strong relationships with practice managers and consultants. The role requires managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 2 years of program or project management experience are required. Preferred qualifications include 3 years of experience managing cross-functional projects, stakeholder management experience, and working knowledge of CRM tools.

  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools (such as Salesforce.com).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Strategy and Operations and Professional Services leadership to create best practices for staffing and utilization management.
  • Lead weekly staffing meetings with Professional Services teams and ensure supply and demand forecasts are accurate.
  • Work independently to match consultants with projects based on skillset, availability, timezone and other constraints.
  • Partner with team leadership to manage assigned consultants utilization, bandwidth and well being. 
  • Develop new KPIs and metrics for tracking staffing efficiency. Create and maintain strong relationships with practice managers and consultants.
