Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of the iXBRL solution.
  • Implement test automation frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and identify defects or inconsistencies in the iXBRL solution.
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Document test cases, test plans, and test results to ensure traceability and maintainability of the testing process.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance test automation strategies, tools, and processes to improve overall testing effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress and Postman.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript for writing automated test scripts.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial reporting standards (XBRL, iXBRL) and regulatory compliance (SEC, HMRC, etc.) is a plus
