Summary

As a Senior QA Engineer at Cupid Media (part of SDG), you'll perform the full testing lifecycle, from task acceptance to release. This includes testing legacy systems, identifying and managing bugs, collaborating with developers and product owners, improving test coverage, writing test documentation, and using tools like Postman, RabbitMQ, AWS Console, and Grafana. You'll also support early morning releases and work with various technologies within a microservice architecture. The role requires expertise in web, mobile, and backend testing, experience with distributed systems, and proficiency with test management and version control tools.

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join one of our core products - Cupid Media.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Perform the full testing cycle, from task acceptance to release publication.
  • Estimate testing time and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Analyze and test legacy systems with limited documentation.
  • Identify, document, and manage bugs, including regression testing.
  • Localize defects during early testing stages and analyze logs to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Improve and expand existing test coverage for functionality and edge cases.
  • Write and maintain test documentation, including requirements for test automation.
  • Use GitHub for setting up and configuring test environments.
  • Test APIs using Postman and ensure proper API documentation and validations.
  • Work with RabbitMQ to validate message queues and ensure proper communication between services.
  • Utilize AWS Console for testing, monitoring, and debugging in cloud environments.
  • Validate database queries and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Use Grafana for monitoring and investigating performance and system behavior.
  • Support early morning releases, ensuring a smooth deployment process.

    We expect from you:

    • Proficiency in Web, Mobile and BackEnd testing.
    • Experience testing legacy systems and dealing with incomplete documentation.
    • Experience working with loaded systems and multi-project environments.
    • Ability to analyze logs and trace issues across distributed systems.
    • Proven experience in writing and structuring test documentation to support automated testing.
    • Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Proficiency with Postman for API testing and validation.
    • Familiarity with RabbitMQ for testing and monitoring message queues
    • Proficiency with Grafana for monitoring and diagnostics.
    • Strong working knowledge of GitHub for configuring test environments and managing repositories.
    • Strong database skills, including querying and troubleshooting.
    • Understanding of microservice architecture and testing approaches for distributed systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of AWS Console for testing and debugging cloud-based services will be considered as advantage
