Job Description

This is an independent contractor role with no end date. The QA tester will be key in assisting our Game Development Team in identifying and reporting bugs, errors, and other issues before the product is released. The QA Tester will work closely with our QA Leads and Developers to ensure the game meets the highest quality standards and end-user requirements.

Prerequisites:

• Deep familiarity with the Roblox platform and the current most popular experiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to differentiate between ‘feedback’ and ‘bugs.’
• Ability to document issues effectively while keeping them clear and concise.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well as a team as well as individually.
• Strong emphasis on thoroughness, carefulness, curiosity, methodical approach, critical thinking, and creativity
• Ability to create documentation and a keenness for self-growth.
• Ability to find work autonomously and efficiently manage time between given tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Test and evaluate Roblox experiences for functionality, design and usability.
• Identify and report bugs or other issues against the intended design
• Consistent collaboration with the team, including developers, designers, and leaders.
• Understanding product scope and specifications for every sprint and milestone.
• Assisting the QA lead with any given tasks during core studio hours.
• Consistently logging quality bugs adhering to test team best practices.
• Follow current testing practices and protocols and contribute to the QA teams processes.
• Providing feedback and suggestions to the larger team to improve the overall quality of our experiences.
• Provide 40 hours per week of QA services, leading the QA team and assisting the QA Manager.

Bonus:

• Prior experience with QA or reporting bugs for other Roblox experiences.
• Prior knowledge with a bug tracking system such as Jira.
• Familiarity with Google Suite applications such as Docs and Sheets.
• Experience with Roblox studio.
• May assist more senior staff with administrative tasks (meeting notes, database clean up, production requests, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
