The ideal candidate will drive reasonable accommodation/adjustment policy, process, and assessment management across APAC, ensure local legislation compliance, and support the integration of the program to support the EHS team's overall goal of creating a safe, healthy workplace with equal opportunities for all. This role requires the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to have strong technological proficiency. Responsibilities: - Define the APAC regional strategy for reasonable accommodations, including core principles of the program, resource needs, risk factors, and policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with local laws and best practices regarding reasonable accommodations. - Develop an integration plan for accommodations/adjustments with internal EHS health and safety services and cross-functional partners. - Partner with the relevant internal stakeholders to support employees applying for accommodations and those returning from leave with limitations and/or restrictions upon return. - Engage in and document the interactive process with applicants and employees requesting accommodations. - Research and evaluate potential accommodations, including assistive devices, workplace modifications, and flexible work arrangements by industry best practices. - Manage the accommodation process from end to end. - Provide consultation and education to employees and managers on the accommodation process, legal considerations, and determinations. - Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and confidentiality of all accommodation-related information, adhering to data privacy regulations and company privacy policies. - Maintain accurate and organized records of accommodations provided, communications, and any other relevant documentation. - Generate reports and metrics related to adjustments and related trends as needed. - Conduct training sessions or workshops for employees, managers, and HR on accommodations and related topics. - Stay current with all local employment laws, regulations, and guidelines for leaves of absence and adjustments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Degree or equivalent in related fields of HR, ER, Health & Safety, or Occupational Health. Applicants without a degree with the relevant experience will also be considered. - Extensive experience in managing workplace accommodations for disabilities - Strong emotional intelligence for themselves and others. Balances empathy, cultural understanding, and team motivation with achieving timely organizational results. - Strong proficiency in technology and the ability to compose complex documents, including strategies, policies, and procedures, to a high standard. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in large multi-national and multi-cultural organizations - 5+ years of experience with workplace health and safety regulations and initiatives, particularly ergonomics and occupational health.
