Cubic is seeking a Security Delivery Manager for Eastern Australia or New Zealand. This APAC Security Delivery Manager safeguards commercial transportation programs, reporting to the CISO. The role involves strategic oversight of security and compliance initiatives, demanding close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This individual will significantly shape Cubic's cybersecurity landscape, ensuring efficient and effective security service delivery across the region.
Must have:
  • Develop and maintain plans for security service delivery.
  • Track project and task assignments, collect and report status.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Security Service delivery teams.
  • Manage problem resolution and communicate progress.
  • Work with Security GSAMs to ensure standardized work protocols.
  • Act as principal security regional liaison with customers.
  • Coordinate Opx budgeting for regional support.
  • Keep CISO, regional directors, and management informed.
  • Support project and program management for large complex IT systems.
  • Deeply conversant in Security operations and/or System development.
  • Capture and describe technical changes for security compliance.
  • Drive and manage change, respond to critical problems.
  • Conversant in international standards including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 1/2, NZ ISM.
  • Describe compliance activities and issues to staff and managers.
  • Deal with Security Risk Management SMEs to capture and remediate risks.
  • Act as senior security representative to regional senior management, customers, and partners.
  • Collect detailed reports on infrastructure and system security information.
  • Interpret and use security information to maintain ISMS policies.

  • Professional certificate or diploma in project management
  • Experience in payment card or public transportation industry
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS 4, ISO-27001, NZ-ISM, and cloud security practices
  • Deep understanding of security risks and threats

Job Summary:

Cubic is seeking a Security Delivery Manager that must reside in Eastern Australia or New Zealand. The APAC Security Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding our commercial transportation programs across the region. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this individual is responsible for the strategic oversight of security and compliance initiatives. This role demands close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, offering an opportunity to shape our cybersecurity landscape significantly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a regional program management role that is responsible for coordination of security activities associated with support of customer accounts. Tasks to be supported include:

  • Develop and maintain plans to support efficient and effective delivery of security services in the customer accounts for the region. Track these as project and task assignments. Collect and report status information and effectively escalate problem areas as needed to provide timely remediation of issues.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Security Service delivery teams and CTS Operations and Engineering to ensure needs are understood and work stays on schedule to meet those needs. Coordinate capture of assignments in proper ticketing systems. Manage and report on problem resolution and actively communicate about progress or needs to drive issues to conclusion.
  • Work with the Security GSAMs (Global Service Area Managers) to understand protocols for how work should be performed. Ensure plans actively support standardized work protocols. Assist in the development of new protocols as needed.
  • Perform as the principal security regional liaison with internal and external customers to collect feedback and concerns and provide status about planned and ongoing work.
  • Work with the CTS regional service delivery managers and the Cubic CISO to coordinate on Opx budgeting to support operations for the regional support.
  • Keep the CISO, CTS regional directors, and cubic management informed on work status and issues.

Essential Job Duties

  • Project Management: must have demonstrated history supporting project and program management services for large complex IT systems that are mission critical, and handle high volumes of sensitive information. Must have experience successfully managing work assignments across a wide array of organizational groups that do not have a direct reporting line.
  • Security Operations: To be able to be recognized as a regional security leader for Cubic, the successful candidate must be deeply conversant in Security operations, and/or System development.
  • Technical Change Direction: While there will be Security Design SMEs, the candidate must be able to capture and describe technical changes necessary to support security compliance to both engineering staff and to senior managers and customers. The candidate must have experience driving and managing change, as well as responding to sometimes critical problems through these actions.
  • Compliance and Standards: While there will be Security Compliance SMEs, the candidate must be conversant in international including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 1/2, and NZ ISM. They must be able to describe compliance activities and issues to both engineering staff and to senior managers and customers to support efforts to ensure our programs align with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Risk and Security Governance: Candidate must be experienced dealing with Security Risk Management SMEs to capture risks and work with technical staff to remediate these risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior security representative to the regional senior management team, customers, and partners, including attending technical and customer forums.
  • Reporting Development: The successful candidate will work with resource and system owners to collect detailed reports that present infrastructure and system security information to the CISO and customers. The candidate must be capable of helping define the needs for these, as well as able to interpret and use this information, and understand how it will help to maintain our Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, standards, and procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • The candidate must be in commuting distance from CTS offices in Brisbane QLD, Sydney NSW or Wellington NZ, and able to routinely travel throughout the region.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field, or Business Administration with relevant IT work experience.

Desirable:

  • A professional certificate, diploma or equivalent in project management
  • Experience in the payment card or public transportation industry.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

Essential:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in Program Management of services or IT systems in a mission critical setting.
  • Experience in security consulting to internal and external customers
  • A thorough knowledge of information security technologies and methodologies
  • Expert level experience collaborating with stakeholders and solution providers in a cross functional and matrix’d IT organization

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS 4, ISO-27001, NZ-ISM, and cloud security practices.
  • Deep understanding of security risks and threats as they relate to the company’s operating environments.

  • Able to work effectively and uphold professional standards, with the Customer and system stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Methodical and Attentive to detail
  • Proactive in seeking advice from security subject matter experts when required
  • Comfortable working with staff at all levels and in other geographical locations within the organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in english, with capability to use Microsoft Office solutions
  • Ability to collaborate with team members in a cross functional and matrix’d IT organization
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
