As a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel, Competition, you'll join an Americas-based team that leads the strategy for defending the company in responses to governments and regulators. You will define a defense strategy, conduct investigations, collect and review information, and represent the company in engagements. You will also lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, litigation, enforcement actions, and overlapping of civil matters. You will oversee the collection and production of accurate information in external submissions and disclosures. You will also provide legal advice on government and regulatory audits and exams.
Must have:
  • JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience
  • 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory, and litigation matters
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing
  • Experience engaging with regulators
Good to have:
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs
  • Experience with working with public company boards
  • Experience with managing projects
  • Experience working with technology companies
  • Experience working on antitrust issues

Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience engaging with regulators, including States AG, FTC, DOJ, and global data protection or consumer protection authorities.
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • Experience with working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
  • Experience with managing projects and partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex technical issues.
  • Experience working on antitrust issues.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$319,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
