Must have:

5 years of television reporting experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Proven track record of live reporting and strong storytelling
Experience working on investigative stories
Experience building deep sources in community
Ability to collaborate across broader newsroom
Excellent writing skillset
Excellent communication and time management skills
Experience contributing to non-linear platforms
Must be able to handle intense deadline pressure
Must be able to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situations

Good to have:

Bilingual in English & Spanish reading, speaking, and writing
General assignment reporting skills preferred
Ability to enterprise stories
Experience with digital editing and photography a plus
Experience working simultaneously on web products
Strong knowledge of social networking in regard to content gathering and distribution

The ideal candidate will have a passion for investigative journalism and experience covering law enforcement, with a proven ability to build strong sources within the community. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a breaking news environment, excels under tight deadlines, and consistently pitches unique and impactful enterprise stories.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of television reporting experience

Eligibility Requirements

Must be willing to work in Fort Worth, TX, just south of DFW airport
Must submit a video/reel/demo of work to be considered
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be 18 years or greater
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be able to work long hours and a variety of shifts, when necessary
Must accept Solutions as NBCUniversal’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program
