Retouching Artist

Job Description

· Responsible for working with the creative supervisor to create and/or change hi-end imagery with the highest standard of aesthetic excellence.

· Must add a creative presence in addition to general high-end technical executions.

· Understanding of colour as it relates to hard and soft proofing and image composition.

· Technical responsibilities include helping to maintain colour fidelity throughout the studio.

· Proactively contribute to the studio quality assurance culture and implement and continuously support process improvements.

· A keen eye for art and composition that allows them to relate to what’s generally perceived as being desirable in an image.

· An understanding of the components of visual art and the elements of photography.

· A strong understanding of colour correction.

· Proven ability to meet tight deadlines

· An ability to work closely with photographers, designers and art directors and exchange ideas and opinions while keeping a level head

· A high level of proficiency with the digital editing process

· Confident and enthusiastic team player, flexible can-do attitude and adaptable

· Good know-how of photography & allied arts

· Understanding of automotive lighting and retouching industry best practices

· Comfortable with a fast-paced working culture without losing an eye for detailing on quality of output and results.

· Versatile with new technology

· Willingness to work in a highly volatile environment but keeping fundamentals of project delivery intact.

Skills Desired:

· Candidate with experience of 2-3 years in still photography composition & retouching for products.

· Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Creative Suite knowledge & proficiency, good knowledge of Photography & Lighting

· Knowledge of Colours, Printing standards, RGB/CMYK/Digital proofing, good understanding of layers in Adobe Photoshop & grading.

· Preferred domain: Automotive and reflective surface & complex compositions with backplates
