Job Description
The SDE will be part of the Engineering/Development team at Games24x7 and will be responsible for taking ownership of the core products. The applicant must have good communication, interpersonal, technical and analytical skills. The role involves participating in requirements analysis, design, development and testing of applications. The SDE is expected to write high-level code, participate in code reviews, unit testing and deployment. The candidate will be working with the QA team to determine testing requirements and contribute to project estimates and scheduling. Familiarity with Java, IDEs, tools and scripting languages on Linux, and an RDBMS like PostgreSQL is essential.
Must have:
- 1+ Years of experience in Java/J2EE Server side programming
- Hands on experience in Core Java, Multithreading, RMI, Socket programming, JDBC, NIO
- Knowledge of distributed system, distributed caching, messaging frameworks, ESB
- Knowledge of Linux operating system and PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra
- Experience in Agile methodologies
Good to have:
- Knowledge of HBase, Hadoop and Hive
- Familiarity with message queue systems and AMQP and Kafka
