Job Description

As a Senior Analyst for UFC, you will be a member of the Sports Analytics team, providing data-driven insights, tools, and recommendations to the UFC game team. Your responsibilities include collaborating with your team to understand requirements, guiding the game team in being hypothesis-focused and data-driven, delivering end-to-end analytics projects, presenting insights, developing dashboards for self-service data access, and contributing to the aggregate layer of data. You will also design game telemetry to meet analysis requirements. This role involves quantitative analysis and project management. You will report to the Director of Analytics of NHL and UFC. This is a hybrid role.

Must have:

A degree in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Data Science).
3+ years of experience in an analytics role.
1+ years of experience managing projects.
Expertise in SQL and ability to extract data.
Experience in statistical modeling with Python or R.
Data visualization experience (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).

You will be a member of our Sports Analytics team and empower the UFC game team with data-driven insights, tools, and recommendations to make more data informed decisions, driving value for our business and players. This is a hybrid role located in Vancouver, B.C. and will report to the Director of Analytics of NHL and UFC.

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with your team to understand requirements and scope deliverables
You will guide the game team in being hypothesis focused, and data driven
You will deliver end to end analytics projects and present insights
You will develop a suite of dashboards to promote self-service data access
You will contribute to the aggregate layer of data to support efficient analysis
You will design game telemetry that meets analysis requirements

Qualifications:

A degree in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
3+ years of experience in an analytics role performing quantitative analysis
1+ years of experience independently managing projects and building analysis plans
Expertise in SQL and ability to extract data from large data sources
Experience in statistical modeling with Python or R (e.g. regression, clustering)
Data visualization experience (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
