Turtle Rock Studios is looking for a Senior Audio Programmer to join our team! This role will involve authoring major audio features, evaluating audio technology packages, and applying your audio background and expertise to new challenges. As a senior engineer, you will be helping to guide our audio team as we develop new and exciting games.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our team of audio designers and programmers to design, prototype, and implement new audio features
  • Evaluate audio software libraries and make recommendations based on project needs
  • Maintain and improve our audio technology pipeline and tools
  • Work with the sound design team to meet project requirements within performance and memory budgets
  • Guide and mentor other members of the audio programming team

Requirements

  • Shipped at least one title in the role of audio programmer
  • At least 5 years of professional programming experience
  • Shipped at least one console title
  • A strong interest in audio processing and creating an awesome player experience
  • Experience coding and debugging multi-threaded systems
  • Proficient in C/C++
  • Expert knowledge of Wwise
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines

Preferences

  • Experience in Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Prior experience shipping a multiplatform title
  • Previous work on Multiplayer Action Games and FPS's a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

The estimated base pay range for this role is:

$136,000—$170,000 USD
