Your role in the Team

You'll be joining a small, close-knit team of developers working closely with our European teams delivering critical business features and improving the core product. We're looking for somebody who is excited to work with large scale low latency high-frequency data systems.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a clear role model, exemplifying performance standards and expected behaviors for the team
• Sets the standard within a team for technical excellence
• quality of work and timely delivery
• Implementation of new features and maintenance and/or upgrade of legacy apps
• Proactively removes delivery impediments and keeps the team productive
• Regularly shares knowledge and expertise
• On boards new joiners to the team and Mentors less experienced team members
• Works closely with the team lead to improve ways of working
• Use CI / CD, TDD and pair programming techniques for development activities
• Second line on call support for complex issues

What You’ll Need For This Role

• Demonstrable understanding of modern C++, including STL, OOD/OOP and C++ 11/14/17/20.
• Practiced user of LINUX command line and scripting.
• Overall 8+ years of experience.
• Good troubleshooting skills and able to join the support rota
• A good understanding of the Agile process.
• Exposure to general software tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitLab, cmake etc.
• Proficiency in design at system and component levels and able to take ownership of features.
• Experience in or willingness to learn distributed, low-latency, highly-concurrent systems will be a plus.
