Job Description

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Founda Health, you will play a crucial role in streamlining the software delivery lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps practices, optimizing the infrastructure, and collaborating with the team in Bangalore and Amsterdam. Your work will involve establishing and implementing CI/CD strategies, migrating pipelines, enhancing observability, and developing automated CI/CD pipelines using various technologies. You will also be responsible for infrastructure provisioning and management, configuration management, security, and system performance monitoring.

Must have:

Multiple years of production experience in a mature Kubernetes environment
Strong proficiency in at least one cloud platform (ideally AWS)
Strong opinion and expertise on 100% IaC, ideally in Terraform
Experience in setting up strongly performing CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab)
Advanced (shell) scripting skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (ideally Python or Go)

Position Overview

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, your role will be instrumental in streamlining our software delivery lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing, implementing & maintaining our DevOps practices and optimizing the infrastructure together with our team in Bangalore & Amsterdam.

The Founda Health platform for data exchange ensures clinical patient data in different phases of care is collected, resulting in improved patient care.

The scalable, future-proof platform enables a collaborative care approach to connect health organizations and sole practitioners across regions or within care-specific networks including the ability to securely store and exchange billions of patient records.

Our platform for data exchange provides a high level of security, reliability, and patient privacy protection.

By providing real-time access to relevant clinical information, the Founda Health platform helps to collaborate and exchange referral information with referring healthcare professionals, handling information from a range of clinical specialties without replacing or disrupting your existing IT solutions.

Things you could be working on:

Work with the infra team to develop and implement a global hybrid cloud Kubernetes strategy

Establish and implement CI/CD strategies that allow us to continuously release

Enhance, extend, and run (internal) tooling to enable our software engineering and support teams to efficiently deliver software

Migrate the pipelines from Jenkins to Gitlab CI"

Improve the observability and tracing capabilities of our platform using Elastic Cloud APM to create a single pane of glass solution

Run our local development environment to a Kubernetes-based setup

Develop and maintain scalable and automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Argo CD, with a strong emphasis on Pipeline as Code.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud.

Implement and manage configuration using Ansible and maintain secure operations with a focus on security scanning tools (DAST/SAST).

Ensure the security of code and infrastructure.

Monitor system performance using Prometheus and EFK stack.

Our ideal candidate

Multiple years of production experience in a mature Kubernetes environment

Strong proficiency in at least one cloud platform (ideally AWS)
