Job Description

The Senior Data Analyst at Quince will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions within the merchandising department. Responsibilities include analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to develop pricing strategies, as well as evaluating and optimizing promotional campaigns. The analyst will be responsible for developing metrics and dashboards to track key promotional KPIs, visualizing data, and presenting findings to stakeholders. They will also ensure data accuracy and integrity, collaborate with data engineering teams, and document data analysis processes. This role requires a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to Quince's mission of providing high-quality products at lower prices.
Must have:
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform pricing recommendations
  • Develop and maintain pricing models for different scenarios.
  • Monitor pricing performance and optimize pricing decisions.
  • Evaluate promotional campaigns and identify improvements.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong expertise in SQL and BI tools
Good to have:
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pricing Analysis & Strategy:
    • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop data-backed pricing recommendations.
    • Build and maintain pricing models to evaluate the impact of different pricing scenarios and strategies.
    • Monitor pricing performance, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights to optimize pricing decisions.
    • Collaborate with Category Managers to understand product costs, margin targets, and market dynamics to inform pricing strategies.
  • Promotion Analysis & Optimization:
    • Evaluate the performance of past and ongoing promotional campaigns, including discounts, bundles, and seasonal offers.
    • Identify opportunities to improve promotional effectiveness, target specific customer segments, and optimize promotional timing.
    • Conduct A/B testing on promotional strategies and analyze the results to inform future campaigns.
  • Reporting & Visualization:
    • Develop metrics and dashboards to track key promotional KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, average order value, incremental sales).
    • Visualize data effectively using tools like Looker, Google Data Studio to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
    • Present analytical findings and recommendations to Merchandising, Marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Data Management & Integrity:
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for analysis.
    • Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data collection, storage, and accessibility.
    • Develop and document data analysis processes and methodologies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in an ecommerce setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and BI tools for analyzing large datasets, with experience in developing and maintaining dashboards to track business metrics.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is typically required.  

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position’s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

Pay Range

$150,000 - $200,000 USD
