Project description
Founded in 1984, our client is one of the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips.
The client is about to change that way of working by introducing a server on-site that continuously monitors all scanners in a customer domain. The server must detect (upcoming) system failure and identify what corrective actions are needed via a knowledge and procedure database. In the calibration phase, this server will initiate the required service actions on the scanner with correct settings and timings (which is highly configuration dependent).
The collaboration with our client has reached the 10 years threshold and we have more than 300 talented colleagues working alongside the client side.
Responsibilities
Ensure databases are set up according to best practices and organizational standards.
Collaborate with developers to optimize database designs and queries.
Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and views.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
Plan for future database growth and scalability.
ptimize applications for query scalability
Optimize resource allocation on Azure to ensure cost-effective performance.
Implement improvements to enhance database reliability and performance.
Skills
Must have
Oracle, oracle Exadata, Migration of databases
Postgres
Experience working with large databases in an Always On environment and other high-availability technologies
Build tools such as Maven and Git
CI/CD pipelines like GCP, GitLab, Bamboo
Configuration management and Deployment tools like Puppet and preferably Ansible
Knowledgeable of Artifactory and Nexus
B.S/M.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other related courses and/or equivalent training and experience
Nice to have
SAP ASE (Sybase) administration/support experience
Ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team with stakeholders and development team members spread across multiple locations
