A passion for fantasy worlds has long been ingrained in our studio, and at last we can announce we have embarked on a journey into that beloved realm. With a party of veteran IOI guild members and new wizards and sorceresses of the industry, we are building an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Level Designer to join our dynamic team. As Senior Level Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the fantasy world of our upcoming online game. If you have a passion for mentoring teams, and supporting them in creating fantastic immersive experiences, then this is a role for you.

 

What you will do:

  • Design and build level design content using IOI's proprietary tools, including open world, procedural, handcrafted, narrative and quest content, with a high level of autonomy.
  • Design tools, workflows, best practices, and systems for creating level design content.
  • Generate and maintain documentation and task tracking in concert with leads and production.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide expertise and integrate their work into level design content.
  • Playtest and provide feedback on content, level design or otherwise, and respond to and process feedback on level design content.
  • Take design ownership of features to coordinate and manage implementation from design to completion.
  • Provide mentorship, feedback, and sharing of technical knowledge and design expertise.
  • Support Directors and Leads in realizing the vision and goals for the project.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in level design in the AAA games industry.
  • A broad set of strong level design skills with some areas of deep expertise.
  • Experience with systemic design and procedural tools.
  • Experience designing tools and workflows for level design.
  • Experience working on Multiplayer titles.

About The Company

IO Interactive is a 25-year old, AAA independent game studio, creators of HITMAN, Kane & Lynch, Mini Ninjas and Freedom Fighters. We are currently working on Project 007, Project Fantasy, and continue to develop Glacier, our award-winning game engine.


We are a diverse team of designers, producers, artists, programmers and operations supporters from 40+ different nationalities, working on cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art game design.

IO Interactive was established in September 1998.
