Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Equipment Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, sustaining, and improving equipment on remanufacturing lines. Responsibilities include supervising a team of maintenance technicians, performing diagnostics and repairs on automation systems, production machinery, and testing equipment, leading equipment upgrades, conducting root cause analysis, developing training materials and documentation, managing spare parts, and providing hands-on troubleshooting support. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a background in industrial/commercial or lab/R&D settings, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. A BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering is preferred.

Must have:

5+ years experience in electro-mechanical systems maintenance
Supervisory experience (1+ years)
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
BS in Engineering (or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of electrical installations and codes

Good to have:

Experience with DMAIC or 8D methodologies
Knowledge of maintenance management systems

What to Expect

The Senior Maintenance Equipment Engineer will be part of maintaining, sustaining, and improving
equipment on the Remanufacturing lines.

What You’ll Do

Supervise a small team of maintenance technicians to maintain, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair tooling and equipment, including but not limited to: Automation systems, production machinery, I/O devices, Test equipment with temperature controllers, current and power meters, PLCs, DMMs, Power Supplies etc.
Ensure all operations are executed with highest level of planning and safety including monitoring and controlling KPIs to prevent injuries and downtime
Lead equipment upgrades with a focus on safety, serviceability, reliability and process capability.
Become owner / subject matter expert to drive equipment-related process improvement including detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Build training material, maintenance routines, service bulletins, and related documentation related to cradle to grave equipment life cycle management
Identify equipment critical spare parts and ensure sufficient coverage to prevent extended downtime situations
Provide hands-on support to maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations.

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of experience in any combination of design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of Electro or Electro-Mechanical systems in a manufacturing (or equivalent) environment. Professional Engineering experience is preferred in industrial/commercial and or lab/R&D environments, with 1+ years of experience in a supervision role.
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understanding of Maintenance Management Systems interfaces and devices
Must be familiar with basic Electrical Installations, and electrical codes.
Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Structured problems solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, etc.)
