Job Description

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Contraband, a new AAA co-op open-world action game, you'll be a key strategist bridging the game's leadership, Xbox Game Studios marketing, and external partners. Responsibilities include informing launch campaign strategies, planning marketing beats and content releases, managing the live service marketing roadmap and asset plan, establishing brand voice, writing marketing copy, and collaborating on asset creation with internal and external teams. You will leverage player and product insights to shape campaign messaging, maintain updated product factsheets, and ensure marketing resonates with the target audience. This role requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and a deep understanding of the gaming industry.

Job Details

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Contraband, our upcoming AAA co-op open world action game and new IP published by Microsoft Xbox Game Studios, you are the critical tactician between the game leadership team, the Xbox Game Studios Marketing team, and our marketing partners. 

You will translate player needs, the product strategy, and our marketing goals into successful marketing activities that drive demand, either directly or working through our publisher.

What you'll do

    • Work as an embedded member of the game leadership team providing product marketing expertise.
    • Collaborate closely with our publisher's Marketing team at Xbox Game Studios, and our Marketing partners
    • Inform the Launch campaign strategy, plan marketing beats and content releases, and manage execution. 
    • Establish the marketing roadmap and asset plan for the Live service
    • Maintain updated factsheets for the product, communicating all development roadmap changes.
    • Manage the development of the brand voice (including style, tone & personality).
    • Write the master marketing copy in collaboration with our publisher to ensure best practice.
    • Drive the creation of marketing assets in close collaboration with our creative team, publisher, and external agencies.
    • Propose campaign messaging using player and product insights in partnership with our publishers’ marketing teams.

Who you are

    • A seasoned Product marketer with over 5 years of experience. 
    • Experienced in game launches and live services across PC and console.
    • Deep understanding of the current and future trends of the gaming industry and player motivations.
    • Able to proactively identify cultural shifts and opportunities, and to set long-term goals.
    • A firm believer in collaboration and transparency, able to balance the feedback and needs of various stakeholders.
    • Able to juggle internal and external communications effectively, with proven experience working with multilevel stakeholders in multinational matrixed organizations.
    • Previous experience at an international games publisher or developer is required.
    • Not afraid to get hands-on to ensure marketing resonates well with the audience.
    • An avid gaming enthusiast who enjoys the thrill of a AAA explosive action experience.

The Stockholm location
Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city’s game industry. It’s a physical representation of our games – the lush vegetation of Just Cause and theHunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max. It has everything you need to make it your creative base camp.
