EveryMatrix is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their team in Bucharest. This role involves defining and contributing to testing strategies and quality processes. The engineer will be responsible for identifying and reporting high-quality bugs, conducting root cause analysis, and performing various types of testing, including end-to-end, black box, and regression testing. They will also be expected to run automation suites, participate in team meetings, and support developers in delivering quality software. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and involves mobile, desktop, and API testing.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of QA experience in a similar role
  • Experience with mobile, desktop, and API testing
  • Knowledge of Front-End Automation tools
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of working with JIRA
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail
  • Basic knowledge of API Swaggers, SQL databases and Postman
  • Knowledge or interest in automation (Java, Selenium, C#)

We are looking to add a passionate and dedicated Senior QA Engineer to our team in Bucharest!

What You'll get to do:

  • Define/contribute to the testing strategy per testing domains
  • Define/contribute to the quality process & procedures
  • Continuous contribution to the quality improvement plan (ex: bug escape analysis, quality KPIs, quality reports, etc)
  • Define, develop, and implement quality assurance best practices
  • Constantly identifies high-quality bugs based on department standards and performs accurate regressions of existing bugs
  • Conduct root cause analysis on the identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
  • Perform End-to-End testing, Black Box Testing, Grey Box Testing
  • Exploratory, Smoke, Regression Testing
  • Perform tests on both Front End and Back End (with accent on Front End testing)
  • Able to run automation suites and provide relevant reports
  • Shares constructive opinions with team members and everyone involved in the project/product
  • Participate and actively contribute during team meetings (demos, retrospectives, planning, etc)
  • Support developers in the identification and reproduction of bugs, work closely to deliver quality software

What You need to shine:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
  • Solid Quality Assurance and Quality Process experience
  • Experience with testing on various platforms: Mobile in priority, Desktop, API Testing etc. - solid experience in Mobile testing will be highly appreciated
  • At least minimum knowledge of a Front-End Automation tool/technology (like Playwright or similar)
  • Preferable knowledge in working with JIRA
  • Experience in working with test management tools (like TestRail or similar)
  • Accuracy in reporting issues, all steps to reproduce and observed behaviour
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and procedures
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes
  • Basic knowledge in working with API Swaggers, SQL database and Postman
  • Understanding and proven aptitude in defect identification, research, review, documentation, communication, and assessment
  • Understanding and proven aptitude in test case management within a designated timeframe
  • Demonstrated prioritization skills
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Ability to identify gaps in the testing process and provide solutions to mitigate any risks
  • Autonomous and resourceful
  • Basic knowledge or interested in gaining automation knowledge (Java, Selenium, C#)
