Kaizen Gaming, powering Betano, is a leading GameTech company operating in 19 markets. They seek a Senior Responsible Gaming (RG) Officer to develop and manage RG compliance strategies for regulated markets. This role ensures RG practices meet evolving requirements, support business continuity, and are tailored to specific market needs. The officer will manage RG policies, data reporting, track KPIs, and prepare reports. They will also monitor regulatory developments, conduct risk assessments, and respond to regulatory requests. Responsibilities include supporting international expansion, conducting gap analysis, and managing localized RG Product Requirements Documents. The role involves overseeing behavioral monitoring tools, ensuring they meet business needs, and transferring knowledge to operations teams. Collaboration with cross-functional teams like Commercial, Marketing, Technology, and Compliance is crucial, as is developing and delivering training programs on RG standards. The officer will stay informed about RG trends and implement best practices for continuous improvement.

Let’s start with the role

The Senior Responsible Gaming (RG) Officer will develop and manage RG compliance strategies to meet regulatory standards in assigned markets. As the company expands its presence into regulated markets, this role ensures that RG practices meet evolving requirements, support business continuity, and are tailored to each market’s specific needs. The RG Officer collaborates closely with various departments to ensure RG standards are upheld across the organization.

As a Senior RG Officer you will:
  • Manage RG Policies and Data Reporting
    • Collaborate with the Regulatory Compliance Officer to develop and localize RG policies and processes to meet industry and regulatory standards across assigned markets.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of RG policies, regulatory submissions, and compliance activities, ensuring transparency for assigned markets.
    • Define and track KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of compliance reporting and RG monitoring initiatives.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on RG compliance and governance metrics, providing insights and recommendations tailored to each market's specific needs.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Manage Risks
    • Monitor regulatory developments in RG to keep assigned markets in compliance with current and anticipated regulations.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments for assigned markets and implement measures to address RG-related risks.
    • Respond to regulatory requests, including audits and compliance inquiries, for each assigned market to maintain high standards of regulatory interaction.
  • Support International Expansion and New Market Requirements
    • Act as the RG lead on expansion projects in assigned markets, ensuring RG standards are effectively integrated into market entry strategies with the aim of achieving RG compliance by design.
    • Conduct gap analysιs to identify specific compliance needs for new or re-regulated markets.
    • Maintain and manage localized RG Product Requirements Document and update Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) as needed for compliance in each assigned market.
  • Implement and Oversee Behavioral Monitoring Tools
    • Ensure tools meet localized business needs for player risk identification in each market.
    • Develop expertise in using these tools for assigned markets to provide effective oversight and insights into player behavior.
    • Oversee the knowledge transfer process to the Operations Back Office (BKO) team, who will take over daily operations, with an emphasis on localized requirements.
    • Emphasize data-driven insights by interpreting data for policy improvement and identifying behavioral trends.
  • Align with Cross-functional Teams on RG Needs
    • Keep stakeholders informed of regulatory changes, RG processes, and the business impacts of new requirements.
    • Collaborate closely with teams like Commercial, Marketing, Technology, Compliance, Technical Compliance and Product to integrate RG practices across departments, tailoring approaches to market-specific needs.
    • Clearly communicate RG and regulatory requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Training Responsibility
    • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on RG standards and monitoring tools.
    • Ensure teams understand RG policies and practices, reinforcing compliance and awareness throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and innovations in responsible gaming.
    • Recommend and implement best practices to continuously improve the organization’s RG framework and meet evolving standards.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in governance, compliance, or responsible gaming, ideally within the gaming, financial, or regulatory sectors.
  • Strong understanding of RG frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional stakeholder management, especially in regulated industries.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience in localizing policies across diverse markets.
  • Fluent English language skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data analytics and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with business continuity planning, especially in high-growth or expansion-focused environments.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, governance, or risk management (e.g., CCEP, CRMP) are an advantage.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills.
