Tasks

  • Design engaging RPG systems (character stats, progression, skills, classes, abilities) within the Unity engine to create a deep and rewarding gameplay experience.
  • Develop a long-term strategic plan for ARPG content design, live operations, and content releases.
  • Manage and mentor RPG designers, guiding their career development through goal setting, performance reviews, and mentorship.
  • Partner with the ARPG team for roadmapping, task delegation, and ensuring clear team responsibilities.
  • Analyze gameplay data metrics (usage rates, pass rates, etc.) to understand player behavior and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze player feedback and engagement metrics to iterate and refine the ARPG experience.
  • Consider how a character will fit into an existing character ecosystem and design and build script mechanics for abilities using Unity.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with junior team members and other disciplines to foster professional growth.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7+ years of experience in the video games industry, with a proven track record.
  • Experience leading game designers on a live-service title.
  • Experience driving roadmaps and planning for live-service content delivery.
  • Experience designing playable characters (or similar elements) on a shipped title (abilities, cards, units, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for ARPGs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Solid experience with Unity development, including scripting.
  • Familiarity with top mobile titles and current market trends within the ARPG genre.
