Responsibilities
Support project team with Functional Safety Management implementation
Update and provision of specific tools for the project (e.g. document templates and other tools)
Cooperation with central safety team concerning the applicability and optimization of processes developed on the basis of project experience
Selection and updating of measures and techniques required as per ISO 26262 standard
Tailoring of the development process in terms of Functional Safety defining the list of Functional Safety related documents needed to be prepared
Ensure compliance with general quality targets in accordance with valid quality standards
Responsible to check for safety measures implementation during project and product release
Planning and coordination of the safety activities
Verification reviews driving the safety related processes:
Creating the safety plan DIA
Management of all functional safety work products
Steering the safety related activities in the projects
Moderating analysis sessions or performing safety analysis
Organizing reviews, audits and safety assessments
Interfacing with the customers and the suppliers for functional safety
Maintaining the safety case
