About the Team :

Tide’s Security Engineering team is dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of our platform and services. As a Senior Software Engineer - Security, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building and delivering security products to internal (and external!) stakeholders; ultimately safeguarding Tide infrastructure and protecting our Members’ data. You will lead the charge in developing secure systems, frameworks and building paved roads for the wider Tide engineering community. This involves collaborating closely across the entire business to implement robust security measures, making Tide’s systems more resilient.

About the Role : 

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be

  • Building experiences for the engineering community; thus spending most of your time designing, building and delivering elegant solutions
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines
  • Building widely adopted paved roads for the engineering community
  • Performing application security design and code reviews
  • Improving engineering standards in line with industry best practices
  • Driving innovation
  • Automating where and when it makes sense to
  • Championing resilience through all aspects of the organisation
  • Contributing to innovative solutions and products to keep our Members safer than ever

What we are looking for : 

  • Have at least 4+ years of experience in software engineering preferably into security domain
  • Have extensive experience building server-side applications and detailed knowledge of the relevant programming languages for your stack (i.e Java 17 or newer)
  • Have sound knowledge of a Java backend framework (e.g. Spring/Spring Boot)
  • Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on resilience and security
  • A passion for security concepts and principles; you probably follow a number of security blogs
  • Familiarity of cloud security concepts and technologies
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and non-engineers alike; you’re able to get your point across and influence conversations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
