The Senior Specialist, Aftersales Project Management will play a key role in driving the successful execution of long-term projects for Aftersales at Scout Motors. The role involves coordinating alignment, roadmaps, and tracking for all Aftersales projects, facilitating synergies across departments, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, preventing duplication of efforts, guiding Aftersales divisions, and contributing to budget planning. This role requires in-office attendance in Columbia, South Carolina and requires in-person meetings regularly. The candidate will be expected to relocate in the next 18 months and travel to participate in events and workshops on behalf of the company frequently. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic professional, capable of ensuring cross-functional alignment, eliminating duplicative efforts, and addressing risks in a timely manner. Acting as the central point of coordination, this role fosters collaboration across teams and ensures seamless, efficient project execution.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of project management experience in automotive.
  • Proficiency in PM tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive seamless collaboration and alignment across functions.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with PM methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Lean.
  • German language proficiency.

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Specialist, Aftersales Project Management to join our team. This position plays a key role in driving the successful execution of long-term projects for Aftersales at Scout Motors. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic professional, capable of ensuring cross-functional alignment, eliminating duplicative efforts, and addressing risks in a timely manner. Acting as the central point of coordination, this role fosters collaboration across teams and ensures seamless, efficient project execution. This position will work hand by hand with Central PMO department in Commercial Ops.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Coordinate alignment, roadmaps and tracking for all Aftersales projects, aligning them with PMO methodologies and strategic company goals.
  • Facilitate synergies across all Aftersales departments and act as the central point, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication among team members, preventing siloed and duplicated efforts.
  • Monitor milestones and progress, using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet to track project progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop comprehensive dashboards, create and present detailed monthly progress reports to management and the board, highlighting key achievements and addressing any roadblocks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, by proactively identify potential risks, escalate issues promptly, and implement effective solutions.
  • Prevent duplication of efforts, ensure all teams are aware of each other’s activities, fostering a unified approach and eliminating redundancies.
  • Guide Aftersales divisions, by providing detailed follow-up reports to each division, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Contribute to budget planning and oversee expense management for Aftersales.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. This role can be temporarily remote but will be expected to relocate in the next 18 months.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings, events regularly.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum +5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the automotive sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in PM tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with PM methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Lean.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive seamless collaboration and alignment across functions.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
    • Data Analysis: Use of PivotTables and PivotCharts to summarize and analyze data.'
    • Data Validation: Setting up rules to ensure data integrity
    • Chart Creation: Ability to create and customize various types of charts (e.g., bar, line, pie charts).
  • German language proficiency is a bonus and will contribute to success in the role.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
