Responsibilities

Workato is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our Accelerators team.  The role is a hands-on individual contributor position responsible for the success of a set of domain and industry-specific packaged solutions and technical accelerator frameworks. This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. You will translate real-world customer challenges into problems that can be addressed by the Accelerators team independently or in collaboration with other teams. You will also ensure that product features and innovations are communicated effectively to drive adoption.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

• Accelerators (Product) planning and implementation throughout the lifecycle, including capturing and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and extensible architecture, and working closely with business partners to deliver winning products

• Understand the users, market, and competition

• Launch new products, test their performance, and iterate constantly and quickly to achieve faster time to value.

• Bring teams together to define and implement product features

• Create and deliver custom product demonstrations to support the sales and other internal teams

• Develop collaterals: product documentation, design specs, solution briefs, presentations, demos, webinars, white papers, blog articles, and best practices

• Responsible for maintaining all documents, tools and information to enable the sales team to reach their full potential

• Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service experience to Workato customers

• Play a key role right from the product ideation stage to the implementation stage

• Communicate the product strategy and requirements to key stakeholders

• Define key metrics and measure the performance of the product features

• Run the scrum calls as part of the agile process development

• Support customers during US and EMEA business hours (up to 11:00 PM IST) for about 20% of bandwidth

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

• BTech/BE or higher technical education - A Computer Science degree is a plus

• Total 12+ years of relevant experience in the field of design, development and implementation

• 8+ years of experience working with Integration Platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Oracle SOA, TIBCO, webMethods etc.

• 2+ years of experience with iPaaS companies is a plus

• Hands-on experience implementing integration projects for customers is a must. Should have knowledge of:

• Microservices or API-based Integration Architectures, Event-driven Architectures

• Exception handling and logging frameworks for iPaaS

• CI/CD processes for iPaaS

• Enterprise Data Hub/MDM Architectures (Nice to have)

• Well-versed in gathering insights and identifying trends from data (customer interaction, qualitative and quantitative analysis, etc.)

• Understand the security and governance needs of enterprise customers. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and audit process is a plus

• Translate conceptual ideas and outcomes into detailed architecture, design, and user stories

• Experience with custom connector development using any iPaaS SDK is a plus

• Experience with cloud technologies - iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure such as AWS/Azure/GCP

• Strong working knowledge with APIs - RESTful, SOAP

• Sound knowledge of Data Structure - JSON/XML/EDI

• 2-3  years of coding experience (Java/Python/Ruby etc.)

• Sound knowledge of any RDBMS

• Technical background or a good understanding of technology and industry trends, especially in the app integration space

• Experience working with enterprise business apps like SAP / Workday / NetSuite / Salesforce / ServiceNow is a plus

• Agile development methodology
