About BitPet

BitPet® originated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is based on research on exergames (video games that involve physical exertion). BitPet is more than just a game, our purpose is to improve people’s physical and mental well-being in a fun and social way. We are determined to establish a new generation of exergames with a global appeal, making physical activity fun and social for everyone. About the role:

As a senior Unity developer, you will work in close collaboration with our remote team, but also join us in building up a local team of developers and training up new ones. Together with the team you will develop new and exciting game features, and maintain a highly scalable code-base. As an early employee, you will be involved in shaping BitPet as a company for the years to come and partake in the adventure of building up our game studio, both professionally and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality Unity C# code and architecture

• Work closely with the team on the development roadmap

• Distribute and share knowledge in an inclusive manner

• Develop and teach game-development best practices, and mentor more junior developers

​

Qualities and experience we look for:

• 5+ years of experience with Unity, C#, and Git

• Experience of managing teams, mentoring, coaching, motivating others 

• Self-motivated

• Take on responsibility

• Passion about game-development

• It’s also a big plus if you have experience working in a startup
