Server Engineer - WWE 2K

What We Need:

Do you love the technical and tactical challenges that come with delivering a complex project that will be played by millions? Our Austin studio is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the next iteration of the beloved and award-winning WWE 2K.

What You Will Do:

• Develop, maintain and expand server-side gameplay features for WWE 2K
• Write clean, robust, readable, well-documented, and efficient code that can be easily understood
• Provide scheduling input and status updates for completion of assigned tasks
• Demonstrate the assignment and technology flexibility required to assist adjacent teams in an Agile team environment, and contribute as a leader to the processes

Who Will Be A Great Fit:

• 2+ years of experience in the industry
• Proven experience writing server backend code
• Proficient in SQL with MySQL
• Familiarity with a broad range of gaming platforms and programming languages, especially C++ & Python
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented programming techniques and robust engineering practices
• Experience designing and maintaining data structures and algorithms
• Skilled in multithreaded and asynchronous programming
• Experience with videogame console development is advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• A love for video games (not just ours!)

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $93,960 and $120,800 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
