Job Description

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will join a dynamic team responsible for implementing and enhancing our central catalogue of technologies on the ServiceNow platform. Your work will directly support the tracking of technical inventory, lifecycle management, and cost optimization initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, craft technical solutions, and ensure the sustainability and scalability of our platform.
Must have:
  • Develop, design, and deploy ServiceNow applications and modules.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Critique and validate design ideas to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain and enforce development standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process and technical improvements.
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and development.
  • Solid background in software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Effective communication skills across global teams and time zones.
  • Proficiency in agile development practices.
Good to have:
  • Experience modeling data in ServiceNow, with CSDM familiarity
  • Past work with ServiceNow partner consultancies
  • UI development experience within ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  • Familiarity with Snowflake data platform
  • Experience deploying ServiceNow solutions in complex network environments
  • Scripting skills, especially in Python
  • ITIL certification

Our challenge

As a ServiceNow Developer, candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for implementing and enhancing our central catalogue of technologies on the ServiceNow platform. Candidate work will directly support the tracking of technical inventory, lifecycle management, and cost optimization initiatives. Candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, craft technical solutions, and ensure the sustainability and scalability of our platform.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Montreal is CAD $75k – CAD $80k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and deploy ServiceNow applications and modules aligned with business requirements.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Critique and validate design ideas to maintain high standards and minimize unsustainable customization.
  • Maintain and enforce development standards, promoting best practices within the team.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering to production deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and technical enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and development.
  • Solid background in software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Effective communication skills across global teams and time zones.
  • Proficiency in agile development practices.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience modeling data in ServiceNow, with familiarity with CSDM.
  • Past work with ServiceNow partner consultancies, managing multiple client implementations.
  • UI development experience within ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Familiarity with Snowflake data platform.
  • Experience in deploying ServiceNow solutions in complex network environments.
  • Scripting skills, especially in Python.
  • ITIL certification.
