The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Site Controller to join our Maersk Central America, Andina & The Caribbean Sea Area (CAC) team. This person will be responsible to provide support for business growth, support finance, covering a diverse aspect of the Financial Health Metrics within CAC.

This role will be the focal point and effective collaboration with the GSC, Finops, CX, Product, Area business controllers, CEN BCO, Finance and with other internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all internal control and compliance requirements are regularly reviewed and met, and that corrective actions are taken to mitigate any overall risk to the Area.
  • Delivers regular reporting to drive business performance.
  • Acts as bridge with Finance to ensure that reporting reflects a true and fair representation of the underlying business.
  • Collaborates with the Area BCO community.
  • Drive standard execution and KPIs improvement using LnS health dashboard & CX dashboard and ensure backlogs are effectively kept low and in control in close cooperation with Area CX Manager and Area FBP
  • Implementation of upstream process improvements in line with the Standards and Controls
  • Provide forward looking and independently initiated analysis on margins, trends, and productivity.
  • Solid financial educational background in Finance and Accounting.
  • Solid understanding on financial & commercial KPIs Knowledge in SAP, BW, CUBE, Kewill, MODS, MORE system.

We're looking for:

  • Strong knowledge and interest in process and systems of relevant product
  • Good communicator with ability to interpret and relay technical messages between technical and non-technical people.
  • Strong lean and continuous improvement mindset
  • Good customer centricity mindset
  • Good training and coaching skills 
  • Minimum 3 plus years of experience in accounting, P&L analysis, KPIs etc.
  • Self-motivated, result oriented and attention to details
  • Good analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyse data
  • High competency in written and verbal English
  • Team player - works together with others to achieve results and fosters teamwork
  • Stakeholder management: Engage with senior leaders, manage expectations and ability to speak-up & influence without authority.
  • Shipping/ Transportation industry experience would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • Familiar with MS office, especially Excel macros and pivot tables, SAP, MACs
