This Software Engineer - HIL development role involves designing, developing, and maintaining test objects for software testing and development within the Infotainment and connectivity unit. The position focuses on subsystem rigs, automatic HIL rigs, and cars. Responsibilities include integrating hardware components (sensors, actuators) into HIL test benches, collaborating with software/hardware teams on test requirements, analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, improving HIL testing processes, maintaining HIL systems, generating documentation, and providing technical support. The role is part of a Unit Support team handling incoming support requests.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant field
  • HIL system design, development, testing experience
  • Knowledge of control systems, embedded systems
  • Strong communication & teamwork skills
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay protocols (plus)
  • Valid European driver's license B
  • Fluent in English

Project description

Developing, designing and maintaining test objects that are used by all teams in the Infotainment and connectivity unit for software testing and development. Mainly subsystem rigs, automatic HIL rigs and cars.
You will be part of the Unit Support team, this team focuses on supporting software developing teams with their test objects. The support team is an operational team handling incoming support requests from the organization.

Responsibilities

Integrate hardware components, sensors, and actuators into HIL test benches.

Collaborate with software and hardware teams to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Continuously improve HIL testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Maintain and update HIL systems to align with evolving project needs.

Generate and maintain detailed documentation for HIL systems

Provide technical support to other teams for HIL-related activities and initiatives.

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in HIL system design, development, and testing.

Strong knowledge of control systems, embedded systems

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or other communication protocols is a plus.

Valid European driver's license B

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
