Meet Our Team:
The Ad Tech group works on building state-of-the-art Ad technology platforms and services that power the Discovery + and other digital services offered by Discovery globally.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• You write efficient, readable, testable code units to contribute to the overall functionality of the software.
• You understand computer science concepts and are passionate about them. You are abreast with the latest in the technology world and are keen to address challenging engineering problems.
• You communicate through data, dates, and facts, applying them as appropriate to motivate and inspire
• You are comfortable with scrum agile methodologies, adapting best engineering practices by showing people, not just telling people
• You are a fast learner and comfortable to change and adapt to a fast-changing environment.

What to Bring:

• 3-5 years of experience as a software developer - Backend Developer
• Proficient in Java 8, with expertise in utilizing Futures and Streams. Also familiar with Golang and Python.
• Experience with data streaming or batching services.
• You have worked on backend service technologies and familiar with building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, search engine technology (preferably
• Elasticsearch)
• Knowledge of, and professional experience with most AWS services, and deeper knowledge of AWS lambda, S3, Kinesis Data streams and DynamoDB.
• Usage and understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working within a SAFe Agile team, collaborating with others to build
• software and iteratively improve it.
