Job Summary:

Our Post Production Engineering team crafts software to support all of Pixar's post production pipeline, including color grading, localization, packaging, delivery, and media asset archiving. Together with our internal clients, we've built a sophisticated production pipeline, and our tools can generate terabytes of new media in a single day. Our software touches every Pixar project (feature films, shorts, series, and promotional material) and every version (Digital Cinema, Blu-ray/UHD, 3D, International). You are a versatile software engineer capable of handling everything from design and development to testing and support. You are dedicated to writing reliable and maintainable code, in both a new and legacy codebase. You are happiest working directly with the people who use your tools and strive to understand their workflow and needs. You have experience with image and video processing tools and technologies. You are hard-working, flexible, and an excellent communicator. You are an enthusiastic team member, who wants to contribute your engineering skills to support film production at Pixar. Does this sound like you? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Strong software engineering skills, including experience with git, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate on a team

  • Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical software users
