Job Description

The Solutions Engineer will combine their technical knowledge with commercial skills to develop solutions for prospects and customers. Key responsibilities include presenting software demonstrations, understanding the Diligent sales process, demonstrating the Diligent Platform, and developing solution design documents. They will also leverage sales tools, support marketing events, and liaise with Product Management teams. The role requires familiarity with Audit, Risk Management, IT Compliance activities, and risk management frameworks, demonstrating expertise across Diligent solutions to qualify or win deals, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Position Overview:  

Diligent is looking for a highly professional and motivated individual to combine their technical knowledge with commercial skills to effectively uncover and develop solutions for prospects and customers. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships, as you will interface directly with leaders of large multi-national companies and other key GRC and ESG personas.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Solutioning and Presentation Skills:
    • Presenting strong software demonstrations within quick timelines, accurately solutioning and defining the correct product package. 
    • Understanding the Diligent sales process, taking responsibility over the pre-sales technical win. 
    • Demonstrating the Diligent Platform cross-platform story with strong understanding of overall vision. 
    • Presenting confidently and contextually to multiple buyer types (operational, management, executive). 
    • Onboarding new team members to understand effective presentation styles. 
    • Develop solution design document to solve identified business problems and objectives. 
  • Technical Ability
    • Leveraging sales tools (Gong, SFDC, PPT, etc.) to supplement presentations.
    • Supporting marketing events including webinars, conferences, white papers, etc.
    • Liaising with Product Management teams in new initiatives, feature upgrades, and domain knowledge  
  • Domain Knowledge
    • Familiarity with Audit, Risk Management, and IT Compliance activities, as well as risk management software and tools, such as GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms, risk assessment tools, and other relevant technologies.
    • Understanding of various risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO ERM, and NIST RMF. 
    • Familiarity with methodologies for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise across Diligent solutions to qualify or win deals.
  • Strong communication skills.  
  • Partner with sales team and maintain a productive and positive relationship.
  • Contributes to team sales quotas.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Self-enabling; rapidly acquires new technical skills and domain knowledge.
  • Maintains strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally through various means (e-mail, written, etc.).

Pay Range

$95,000 - $105,000 CAD
