About the Role & Team

The Walt Disney World Bookable Experiences Revenue Management team uses data analytics to optimize revenue, develop yield strategies, and evaluate key business / performance drivers. Bookable Experiences encompasses all bookable products including table service restaurants, dining events, activities, and merchandise experiences.

As a Senior Analyst you will be a key player in our data analytics and yielding efforts. If you are a self-starter with strong analytical skills who can use data sets to deliver concise analytics and build influential presentations, then this role is the perfect chance to create an impact at the Walt Disney Company! This position will develop, analyze and implement both revenue management strategies and specific tactics to improve overall profitability in the Food & Beverage, Tours & Recreation, and Events Lines of Business for the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.

The Senior Analyst currently reports to the Manager, Bookable Experiences Revenue Management Analytics.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate within Revenue Management and across the organization (Food & Beverage Operations and Line of Business, Pricing, Finance, Forecasting, Industrial Engineering) to understand data needs and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain both ongoing and ad-hoc reporting, build and deliver presentations to partners and clients at various levels in the organization, monitor industry trends and driven benchmarks, and assist with project management of key business initiatives.
  • Translate complex analyses into actionable insights for presentation to Operations, key partners and executive leadership.
  • Perform detailed analyses using conceptual, statistical, and financial techniques to evaluate the impact of new initiatives, measure performance and determine growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners and operations.
  • Actively engage in key partnerships/relationships across the company to ensure alignment and long-term success across organizations.
  • Provide optimal utilization assumptions and yielding practices, develop macro and micro strategies, and lead seating templates for table service locations.
  • Project manage the implementation of approved initiatives, meeting with key partners to ensure a smooth activation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years in a role with data analysis experience
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on the results using Excel or a statistical software package
  • Knowledge of data visualization/business intelligence software, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience in data handling and manipulation in a programming language such as SQL
  • Proven track record to extract and assimilate data from multiple sources and communicate analysis in a concise, easy-to- understand and actionable format
  • Exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills to effectively build partnerships, including the ability to ask questions to gain understanding and influence others with differing points of view
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated data analytics skills with proficiency in associated database applications in one or more of the following: SQL, SAS, and Tableau
  • Prior experience in the areas of revenue management
  • Knowledge of F&B operations or data

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics/Science, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Insights or related quantitative field
