Job Description

The Senior Associate - Pega Dev will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions to meet business needs. They will develop technical specifications, write detailed documentation, and stay current with technology trends. The role involves code reviews, technical support, and collaboration with the testing team. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Pega applications, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing system performance. This role requires at least 6 years of software development experience with a focus on other technologies. Daily activities include participating in stand-up meetings, writing and testing software, and resolving technical issues.
Must Have:
  • Pega Dev
  • Java
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience or knowledge on Core Java is highly preferred.
  • Experience on Pega case types, integrations especially Rest APIs & file listeners, error handling, decision tables, collections is mandatory.

Software Requirements:

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features and enhancements.
  • Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements and suggest ways to incorporate them into existing solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Participate in the resolution of technical issues and provide technical support to team members.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to ensure software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.

Skills:

  • Experience or knowledge on Core Java is highly preferred.
  • Experience on Pega case types, integrations especially Rest APIs & file listeners, error handling, decision tables, collections is mandatory.
  • Work on developing and maintaining applications built on the Pega platform.
  • Understand the requirements and design of the applications and work on the solutions for the features.
  • Test and debug the applications.
  • Deploy applications using Jenkins.
  • Troubleshooting application problems, code errors, and bottlenecks.
  • Enhancing system performance adhering to application architecture and Pega guardrails.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on other technologies.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Participating in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions.
  • Writing, testing, and deploying software solutions.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other team members.
  • Staying current with the latest technology trends and advancements.
  • Providing technical support to team members and resolving technical issues.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
